Major renovation of a townhouse in Luxembourg

A thoroughly renovated townhouse, from the structure to the finishes

In Luxembourg, PGR Habitat is assisting the owner of a townhouse with its major renovation across several levels. Following the demolition of the existing fittings, all the interior spaces are being reworked in accordance with the architect's project.

The project began with a demolition and stripping phase, which revealed the true condition of the structure. On the second floor, load-bearing wooden posts were replaced by steel posts, based on the structural engineer's study.

The works then cover all technical installations and finishes: electricity, heating and plumbing, plastering, screeds, floor coverings and painting. The existing window frames are retained and repainted to preserve the character of the house.

Around fifteen companies are involved, each under direct contract with the client. PGR Habitat coordinates the whole process: scheduling, site meetings and reports, quality and budget monitoring.
